Amazing place to have fresh and delicious food! The atmosphere is welcoming and clean! When you come inside, you can see the kitchen from the front register and it’s clean. It’s nice to see the food being made. Everything is made quickly and the service is great. Great option for those who are looking for a healthier and filling alternative. Definitely going to come here many times in the future!
Affordable and tasty greek food. I ended up trying this place because I was attending pima. It's sorta hidden, so you won't see it unless you turn into the parking lot. Good size portions, and Friendly's efficient service.
We haven't eaten there is a long time. I am reading all the good reviews and the bad ones. The ones who left bad reviews regarding the taste, bland, etc... Get your taste buds examined. We love this place. This coming from a Greek who knows how Greek food tastes and Athena Pita is the best by far! Hopefully we can take a visit soon.
I live in Buckeye... it's an hour drive for me to come here but I love the people and food so much I make the trip! The pink garlic sauce is amazing and I've only ever found it in one other place in mesa (Nino's). The prices are very good for the portion size you get. I always get the chicken shwarma pita and it's always moist, packed full of meat and the pink sauce is divine! I also always get the hummus app and my boyfriend gets the gyro plate. The meat is delicious and the yellow rice is never hard it's so good. The owners daughter was there today and checked on us to make sure everything was amazing. It totally was. I'll be back for my birthday in August! If Athena Pita came out to buckeye I'd eat there every day! It's worth the drive in our opinion.
I got the steak kabob plate. It was amazing, the steak was juicy and cooked well. The rice, pita, salad, and sauce complimented each other.

The crispy fries were golden and addictive, a perfect side. But the real standout? The stuffed grape leaves—hands down the best I’ve ever had. Fresh, savory, and full of flavor. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic, satisfying Mediterranean food.
